The SLSS has identified the importance of understanding the beach environment and has implemented programs to assist school students from K-12. Our programs are designed to build surf skills, surf confidence, surf knowledge & surf awareness. Programs engage students and help them to achieve growth in all areas of their surf knowledge.

The SLSS delivers a program to each school that meets their desired outcomes or according to the abilities of the group.

SLSS is fully aware of the importance in student safety, in fact safety is our number one commitment. SLSS is affiliated with Surf Life Saving Australia (SLSA) and our instructors are all fully qualified surf lifesavers.  We operate on a staff to student ratio that meets the Department of Education & Training (DET) guidelines on safe conduct of sport and physical activity. We have developed a risk management plan that meets the needs of the DET Excursion Policy and is available on request.

Surf Smart (SS)
A land based surf education program that provides basic information and tips about the beach, beach hazards and beach safety. More info...

A practical 3-4hour program held at a local beach which provides participants with a fun and active learning experience. More Info...
