Our History

The Surf Life Saving School is a centre of excellence in Surf Life Saving education, established in July 2004 as an initiative of the 21 Surf Clubs on Sydney’s Northern Beaches to promote surf safety through education.

The School provides surf education for Primary and Secondary Schools and also runs a dedicated Special Needs Program. There are also courses for Individuals seeking a challenging and exciting experience, the flag ship course being the Surf Life Saving Bronze Medallion, which can be gained through an intensive week long program.

The needs of the business sector are also catered for through specialist group activities built on the Surf Life Saving culture to develop team spirit and reward staff.
All courses are run on Sydney’s picturesque Northern Beaches by experienced, qualified Surf Life Savers.
